Christmas Season in Venezuela

     Christmas in Venezuela is one of the most colorful in Latin America and the whole world! we use to set up a lo of fireworks,decorate our houses, and make the manger ( my father is expert building it)  and eat a lot of food, Christmas season start on November 18 th until January 7th, during these dais we listen a specific music are named " Gaita" This is a type of folk music from the Zulia state. It's played on several instruments including the Cuatro, a 'Tambora' , the 'Furro' and the 'Charrasca'. The singers are known as 'Gaiteros'. on Christmas Season we ate different food. Traditional Venezuelan Christmas foods is name "Plato Navideno" or "Christmas Dish" it include 'Hallacas'  a mixture of beef, pork, chicken, capers, raisins, and olives that is wrapped in maize and plantain leaves and tied up with string into a parcel and then boiled or steamed afterwards; the Pan de Jamón  (is the best) a type of bread that's made with puff pastry, filled up with ham, raisins, olives and bacon and shaped like a 'swiss roll'! Chicken Salad and Pernil (a leg of pork).

Weddings Around the World

Weddings traditions is not just the ceremony, throw the bouquet, and the first dance; there are many different customs around the world, some of them are really strange; for example, In China the bride's family hire a "good-lock" women to take her during the travel from her house to the groom's in a sedan chair; In Germany newlyweds should clean up piles of porcelain dishes that the guess threw on the ground to scare away any evil spirits; in Greek the groomsmen shave the groom and his new mother in law feed him with honey and almonds; in Czechoslovakia an infant is placed on the couple's bed before the ceremony to bless and enhance their fertility, also the guess throw them rice, peas or lentils; in Pakistan the bride's sister and female cousins stole a groom's shoe and if he wanted back he has to paid for its safe return. As these there are many more extrange weddings traditions, but finally everything all have the same end shape a new family.

The Big Bang Tehory

    Is my favorite TV series, The Big Bang Theory is an American TV series in which the main characters almost all are geeks, starting with Sheldon Cooper, is a Theoretical Physicist, extremely intelligent, with lack of social skills; Leonard Hofstadter, an Experimental Physicist, bad taste in fashion, he is more interested in social skills but without success, he is strongly in love with Penny; Howard Wolowitz, is Jewish Aerospace Engineer with a Masters Degree, live with her mother who trate him as a little boy, he fancies himself as a "ladies' man"; Rajesh Koothrappali, who is called Raj or by his last name Koothrappali, is an Indian Astrophysicist who has a psychologist problem in that he can't talk with women, and finally; Penny the principal female character, is a amateur actress lack of advance education she work as a waitress in the Cheesecake Factory.  this tv serie is very interesting because they talk about scientifics topics but making funny. 

Churun Meru

     In my country, there are many places to visit, we have a lot of beautiful beaches, one of the most famous "Los Roques" , we have mountains and deserts, but one of the most beautiful places in my country is " La Gran Sabana" in English "The Great Savanna". in this place you can see one of the most beautiful and amazing landscapes in the world, with rivers, waterfalls and gorges, deep and vast valleys,it have impenetrable jungles and savannas whit a large numbers and varieties of plants, a diverse fauna and one of the most interesting place are the tepuis, but the emblematic place is the "Churun Meru"  or "Salto Angel", it's the highest waterfall in the world,it's  979 m tall.

Other Language

      There are many languages that I want to learn; one of them is German. I think that German is an interesting Language, i'm so interested in the history of Germany, also, there are some of the most advanced Manufacture Industry. Another language I want to learn is Japanese; since I was a child, I've enjoyed Japanese comics., also, I'm so interested in the history of Japan, I want to go to Japan some day.

Lottery Winner

        Every people in the entire world have dreamed to win the lottery and spend all of this money traveling,  if I win $10 million in the lottery, first I will  invest $5 million in a big company to secure my future and my family, the rest, I will use travelling around the world, I would buy a big house near to the beach, I'll buy a sports car as a Ferrari, also a motorcycle as a  Ducati or maybe a Harley Davidson,

New life

   Since I'm in Calgary I always watch the news to know about if Calgary is a safe place or not, but I haven't found anything and that's good. I came from a country that is now passing through a difficult moment; there are too many problems about insecurity. In Venezuela each seven of ten citizen are victims of insecurity like: robberies, assaults, kidnappings, and murders; the last five to ten  years, I was victim of armed robbery twice, Some friends and acquaintances have been victims of kidnappings and robberies, even a friend was killed a few years ago, by a man who wanted to stole his car; that's one of the reasons that push me to came here looking for a New and safe life.

Extreme Life

What is it about extreme sports? Why they are so addictive? I think that is by the adrenaline. when I was younger like 15 or 18 years old, I used to try all types of extreme sports I can, I practiced Skateboarding, rollerblading and BMX, I wasn't good but i tried, it's nice when you try to do a new trick and you get it that's a good sensation, but it can be very painful, you can fall and hit a lot of, but if you want it you always get up and you keep trying until reach, you have to be careful. other good experience was at the university, I took a rappelling classes, we were taught to do the knots and harnesses and we descended from the fifth floor of a building, the first time when i got the floor my legs were shaking after that i do it again and was better. I think that i am a extreme sports person, of course always taking precautions. I'm hoping that winter arrives and be able to do Snowboarding.
